Our High School One Act Play performed "I Don't Want to Talk About It" by Bradley Hayward in District 12-2A competition at Hamilton on Tuesday. Our students did an amazing job and brought home 4 medals! We did not advance to Bi-District but the competition was tremendous. ​Dear Itasca, As many of you already know, Governor Abbott issued a new Executive Order today GA-34 which in part removes the statewide mandate on face coverings beginning next Wednesday March 10, 2021. As we await further guidance form the Texas Education Agency, Itasca ISD Board of Trustees, and Itasca ISD stakeholders, we remind you that our current mandate is still in effect, and we will keep you apprised of any changes/updates in the days to come. The JH Italy meet scheduled for today has been moved to Wednesday (3/3). There will be no field events and the meet will start at 4pm. Again, running only starting at 4pm for the JH meet on Wednesday (3/3.

Please help us congratulate these two young men for qualifying for the Region 2 Division 3 Powerlifting Championship meet. Davonte Grisham (181lb class) and Juan Hernandez (198lb class) have earned a spot at the regional meet and will be lifting next Thursday (3/11) starting at 8:30am. Admission is $5.

The Itasca FFA Breeding Rabbit Show Team attended the Houston Livestock Show this past weekend. They exhibited 7 rabbits in a show of almost 2,000 rabbits.Their Cinnamon Buck won Best of Breed and their Cinnamon Doe won Best Opposite. This means they won their individual classes and won best and second best out of all the Cinnamon rabbits! This is a big deal in the rabbit world! A very successful weekend for our Breeding Rabbit Show Team!

Due to weather, today’s JH Italy Invitational Track Meet (3/1) has been canceled. The next meet for the JH will be next Monday (3/8) here in Itasca - 2021 JH Wampus Cat Invitational Meet.

JV Softball defeats Rio Vista 9-6!

The regularly scheduled meeting of the Itasca ISD Board of Trustees has been changed from Monday March 8th to Monday March 22nd. It will be located in the Itasca ISD Library and begin at 7:00pm.

Due to weather, the JH Italy Invitational track meet on Monday (3/1) will NOT have field events. It will be a running events only meet. The meet will start at 4pm with the 2400M Run.

Itasca Youth Association baseball and softball registration ends this week. You can sign up each evening at the Old Gym from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Friday February 26th will be the last day so spread the word!
