High School Athletic Banquet is this Thursday May 13th @ 6pm in the SEC Gymnasium. High School Athletes will need to arrive no later than 5:45pm. We will be serving snacks and refreshments.

Naomi Chavez and Evelyn Virrueta competed at the Area 8 Convention today in Axtell for Senior Prepared Public Speaking. Naomi placed 6th in Animal Science and Evelyn placed 3rd in Tech & Comm. Super proud of both of these girls and our other speakers as well for paving the way and creating a legacy. Itasca hasn’t had public speakers on record for atleast 24 years. Awesome job girls!

IHS will celebrate Generation Texas Day beginning at 10:30 a.m. this morning in the Special Events Center. This is a celebration of our Senior students and their post-secondary plans.
Itasca ISD has been awarded stimulus funds through the American Rescue Plan. As we work to prepare a budget, we would like parent and community input. IHS will be hosting a Generation Texas celebration on Friday May 7th at 10:00 a.m. in the SEC to celebrate our Seniors and their Post-Secondary Plans. Senior Parents/Guardians and Grandparents are invited to celebrate our IHS Class of 2021.
Davonte Grisham will compete in the High Jump at the UIL State Track Meet @11:30am on Friday May 7th @ Mike A. Myers Stadium on the University of Texas campus.

This message is just a quick reminder that tonight, Itasca High School will be hosting a come-and-go Program Showcase to promote all of our student programs at IHS. This showcase will be in the Library from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. approximately. Hill College and Texas State Technical College will also be present to discuss how our programs lead to higher education and training opportunities. I look forward to seeing you all tonight. Students from 8th grade up are welcome along with their parents or guardians.
