Parents, guardians, and students. Sophomore and Junior students have received and email to sign up and show interest in the October 12 school day PSAT/NMSQT. If interested have them check their school email and use the link to sign up by the end of the school day tomorrow 9/1/23.

The Itasca ISD Board of Trustees is seeking community input for the next superintendent of Itasca ISD. An anonymous survey has been provided to help develop the qualifications and characteristics of the person the Board should seek to become the new superintendent. Itasca Lady Wampus Cats have moved their volleyball game from Tuesday (8/29) to Monday (8/28) due to lack of officials on Tuesday. We will play one varsity game at 5:30pm Monday against Marlin.

Saturday Morning Clinic starts tomorrow morning from 8am-10am. It's 100% free of charge at the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Institute.

Parents and Guardians of Middle School students, please support your child with following the IISD Dress Code as seen on page 54 of the IISD_Student_Handbook_2023-2024,  The length of shorts, for girls and boys, must not be more than 5 inches above the middle of the knee. On Monday, August 21, Itasca ISD received word that Marlin High School was forfeiting the varsity football game scheduled for Thursday, August 24th, 2023. This game will not be rescheduled. However, we have managed to schedule a last-minute contest versus the Connally High School JV team on Thursday, August 24, at 7 pm at Connally High School. Our kids deserve the opportunity to play and we appreciate Connally High School's willingness to provide an opponent on short notice. Please note that all tickets will be sold online at https://spicket.events/connally.

The Annual Itasca FFA Interest Meeting will take place next Tuesday, August 22nd at 5pm in the cafeteria. This meeting is for any student interested or planning to participate in the FFA this year. We will have sign ups as well as important information and dates for the year. This is mandatory for any student wanting to exhibit a show project/animal.

Parents of Middle School students, please know that at at 7:40 am, the parking lot entrance, by the SEC will be coned off for band practice.  MS parents who arrive after 7:40 am to drop off their students must drop them off, either in front of the HS or the MS drop off.  We ask that parents not pull into the band practice area if cones have been put in place. The Itasca Independent School District announced today it will operate the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2023-2024 school year. Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. This approach reduces burdens for both families and school administrators and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals. Reminder: If your child/children were in need of vaccines, please make sure the immunization record or notarized affidavit is sent with your child in the morning in order for them to stay at school.

The cafeteria snack bar will be unavailable until further notice. The equipment is currently inoperable.

Parents and Guardians of Middle School students, there is still an opportunity to pick up an IMS Registration packet Monday and Tuesday (8AM-4PM) from the campus office. Please remember every student needs to get registered. Also, please be prepared to show Proof of Residency. IMS class schedules are loaded in the Student Portal, however, they aren't finalized until the 1st day of school. Please feel free to call the MS Office with any questions 254-687-2922 x 300.
